Магазин Columbia не принимает подарочную карту

Подарили подарочную карту Columbia, но в магазине не принимают, мотивируя тем, что прошел установленный срок.
На самой карте есть место где должен быть прописан срок, но дата не проставлена.
Правомерен ли отказ?
